DHANKUTA: Three persons died on the spot as a van carrying attendants of a marriage ceremony met with an accident at Faksib VDC of Dhankuta in eastern Nepal on Sunday. Four others were injured, two of them seriously, in the incident.
The deceased have been identified as Sunil Magar, Bikram Magar and Milan Magar of Bhedetar VDC, according to SP Sudipraj Rajbhandari at the District Police Office.
The tragedy took place when the van (Ko 1 Cha 818), heading towards Bhedetar from Faksib VDC, carrying a marriage suite overturned on the road.
The injured have been sent to the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences for treatment.
