Studies show the United States could become a net energy exporter, a major change brought about by new, more efficient technologies. The near doubling of U.S. oil output recently is hampering efforts by OPEC to regain control of energy markets. And as VOA’s Jim Randle reports, analysts have repeatedly underestimated the impact on the energy industry of rapidly evolving technology.
