Western U.S. states California and Nevada have been hit by heavy rain and snowstorms in recent days. Northern parts of both states have experienced record floods that have caused mudslides and damaged homes, trees, vineyards and infrastructure. Much of the West as well as the East of the country is covered in snow. VOA’s Zlatica Hoke reports.
