It’s clear that USB Type-C has had somewhat of a rocky start since it was introduced into the smartphone market. As a consumer, it’s difficult to know if a USB charger is built to spec and the USB-IF wants to change this. The organization has just announced a Certified USB Charger Compliance and Logo Program, and they encourage all USB accessory manufacturers to submit their chargers and obtain certification.
