A Redditor claiming to be a “third level beta tester” for Google revealed some interesting details about the Allo and Duo apps. If true, Messenger will gradually be phased out and both Allo and Duo will be default apps on Android 7.0. Allo is said to have both SMS and Google Voice support and Hangouts will be phased out on mobile (probably as a pre-installed app).
