Consumer Reports Says the Galaxy S7 Active isn’t Water-Resistant

Consumer Reports recently tested the Galaxy S7 Active’s water-resistance feature and they are telling us that the device failed that test. They put the device in a water tank that was pressurized to 2.12 pounds-per-square-inch (which is simulating five feet of water). After the 30-minute test, Consumer Reports says the Galaxy S7 had significant water damage to the screen, with green lines running across the majority of it. The test was repeated with a second unit, and the results were similar.
