Samsung Pay’s UK launch will be missing a key differentiator from Apple Pay, as Samsung has failed to get the support of Visa Europe with regards their MST technology. Visa spent a lot of effort in convincing consumers to move away from magnetic stripes in favor of their more advanced contactless infrastructure, and hence, Samsung Pay in UK could miss out on MST.
