Google has just announced a partnership with over 18 carriers to help launch the Jibe Platform. This initiative will make it faster and easier for carriers to implement RCS (Rich Communications Services) messaging on their network. RCS will improve text messaging by letting users share high-res photos, share large files, chat with a group, know when messages are read, make video calls and more.
