Google is sending out press invites to an event on January 7th, 2016 (right in the middle of CES!) where it will unveil its partnership with Chinese OEM Lenovo to bring Project Tango to the general public. The specific details regarding this partnership are unclear. As to whether or not we’ll be seeing Project Tango on desktop/laptop computers or on future Lenovo Android smartphones has yet to be seen.
