Most of Qualcomm’s yearly profits are generated by patent licensing fees and it looks like the company could face fines and legal action in South Korea. South Korea’s Fair Trade Commission claims that Qualcomm has violated local competition law when it comes to how they license some of their technology. They are requesting that Qualcomm be fined and demanding they change its practices.
