Ahmed Shafiq heads to Egypt after UAE deportation | Egypt News
Former Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq is reported to have arrived in Cairo, after being arrested and deported from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), according to his lawyer. Shafiq, who recently announced plans to run for president next year, has resided in the UAE since 2012 after losing the Egyptian elections to Mohamed Morsi.
