New York City ordered to share code for DNA evidence software
The move comes as a challenge in a gun possession case where FST was used to determine the likelihood that the accused owned certain weapons. The judge had already ordered code access for the defendant’s lawyers, but they weren’t allowed to share or talk about what they’d learned.
