Lebanon has a racism problem | Racism
President Michel Aoun told the United Nations General Assembly last month that Lebanon should be the permanent centre of an institution dedicated to peace education with a “focus on forgiveness and coexistence”. Less than three weeks later, his son-in-law and Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil tweeted: “We are racist in our Lebanese identity” in reference to his refusal to naturalise Syrian refugees
