Good fitness tracker, passable smartwatch
This is Fitbit’s most ambitious launch in years, which is timely given that 2017 marks the company’s tenth anniversary. But it’s also overdue. The Fitbit Ionic arrives at a time when the definition of a smartwatch is coalescing. The Ionic feels more like a fitness tracker with just enough smartwatch features to justify calling itself one, but doesn’t have the full functionality we’ve come to
