Trudeau tells UN Canada has failed indigenous people | News
Declaring that Canada is “no land of wonders”, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told the United Nations that his country was working to address failures in the treatment of its indigenous people. Trudeau used his speech to the UN General Assembly on Thursday to frankly acknowledge the dark history of Canada’s colonisation as one of “humiliation, neglect and abuse” and promised to do more to help
