Iraqi forces ‘raise flag’ on Tigris riverside in Mosul | Iraq News
Iraqi forces have reached the Tigris riverside as they inch closer to fully recapturing Mosul from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS), according to state TV. An on-screen headline on Iraqiya news on Sunday said Iraqi special forces have “raised the Iraqi flag on the Tigris riverbank in the Old City of Mosul”.
