Carrie Lam sworn in as Hong Kong’s new leader | China News
Carrie Lam has been sworn in as Hong Kong’s Chief Executive by Chinese President Xi Jinping as the city marks the 20th anniversary of its return to Chinese rule. Lam took her oath in Mandarin Chinese and not in the local Cantonese on Saturday amid scattered protests.
