The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has a fingerprint sensor manufactured by either Goodix or FPC. Currently, Redmi Note 3 devices with a Goodix FP sensor will find that the sensor is not functional on Nougat-based custom ROMs. XDA Senior Member jhenrique09 has made a patch to make Goodix FP sensor work on any Nougat-based ROM.
