Following a very lengthy testing period that started in April of last year, Microsoft’s Outlook.com Premium subscription service is finally available for everyone, sans invite. The only catch? Well, it’s still US-only, and the company isn’t saying anything about a possible expansion to other countries.
Outlook.com Premium normally costs $49.99 per year, but if you subscribe before March 31 you’ll only pay $19.95. So what do you get for that amount of cash? Support for your own custom domain (which you can buy through another registrar or from Microsoft for an extra $10 per year), five personalized email accounts ([email protected]), an ad-free inbox for all of those, as well as easy sharing of calendars, contacts, and documents. This works because sharing relationships are automatically set up between the people who have email addresses on your domain.
