Pedestrian killed in Damak motorcycle hit

DAMAK: A pedestrian died after being hit by a motorcycle at Damak of Jhapa district on Monday.


The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Prem Puri of Damak-16, informed the Damak Area Police Office.


According to police, Puri was crossing the road when the motorcycle (Ba 61 Pa 5961) hit him.


Injured Puri was rushed to the Damak-based Life Line Hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment.


Motorcyclist, 26-year-old Rohit Moktan of Harikhola-2 in Makawanpur, and pillion rider, 40-year-old Babita Majhi of Bayarban-5 in Morang, were also injured in the incident.


The brother-sister duo are being treated at the Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar, police added.
