Born on 25th Sept. 1980, Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. is globally renowned by the pseudonym T.I. or TIP. T.I. signed his debut major deal with Arista Records in 1999. T.I. formed a Southern hip-hop group named Pimp Squad Click. After T.I. was released from Arista Records, he signed subsequently to the Atlantic Records. Also recognized as one of those artists who have had a hand in popularizing the hip- hop trap music, T.I. has recorded several tracks along with Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy.
Seven of T.I.’s nine released albums reached the top five positions in the US Billboard 200 list. Through his entire career T.I. has released several successul tracks like Dead and Gone, Bring ’em Out, Live Your Life, Ball, Whatever You Like and No Mediocre. In 2003 After performing his career’s first high profile feature “Never Scared“, T.I. got international fame and recognition. His fame grew with the release of his another notable album Trap Muzik in the same year. The album contained massive hits like “Lets get Away” and “Rubber Band”. Alongside Lil’ Wayne, in 2004, did T.I. appear on “Soldier”- a major global hit by Destiny’s Child. T.I.’s subsequently released albums.
T.I.’s most successful project was his sixth album Paper Trail released in 2008. Within the first week of release the album sold more than half a million copies in the U.S. and was certified gold. Along with Pharrell Williams, T.I. appeared in Robin Thickie’s massive hit track “Blurred Lines”. T.I.’s ten-year contract with the Atlanta Records came to an end in 2013. In the November of 2013 was T.I.’s signing of the Columbia Records was made public. T.I.’s chart topping hits have won him three Grammy Awards viz. Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group and Best Rap Solo Performance.
