Alleged Samsung Gear 360 Pro spotted on Zauba

If you recall, back in September this year, there were reports that Samsung is working on a Pro variant of its Gear 360 camera. Well, the device may have entered India for R&D purposes.

A listing on India’s import/export tracking website Zauba reveals that a device dubbed “SAMPLE SAMSUNG CAMERA SET” landed in the country earlier this week, and reports say it could well be the Gear 360 Pro.

To be fair, the possibility of it being a compact projector (that resembles the Gear 360) is also there – for those who aren’t aware, such a device was revealed in a recently-published patent application in South Korea.

The Zauba listing doesn’t reveal much, except that the device in question carries a model number of SM-R210. Of course, it also reveals an INR 12,622 (around $190) price tag, but as we all know, pricing information on Zauba is not always correct.

Coming to the Samsung Gear 360 Pro, the device is said to feature improved image and video quality when compared to the standard Gear 360 camera, and could be launched early next year alongside the South Korean company’s Galaxy S8 flagship smartphone.
