Xiaomi today introduced its much awaited Mi Note 2 and a new bezel-less surprise, the Mi Mix, at a press event in China. These are both flagship grade smartphones powered by the top of the line Snapdragon 821 quad core chipset and running Android Marshmallow based MIUI 8 Software.
The Mi Note 2 is the first non-Samsung smartphone to flaunt a curved edge display. The OLED display is 5.7-inches in size and has 1920 x 1080 pixels. Xiaomi has also used a dual curved glass on the rear and a rounded home button below the display that also doubles as the fingerprint sensor.
On the rear, the new Xiaomi Note includes a 22.56MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash with f/2.0 aperture lens and 4K video recording support.

The Mi Mix, on the other hand, includes an edge to edge 6.4-inch display with a staggering 91.3 percent screen to body ratio. The body is made of ceramic which further lends it a premium and classy feel.
As there is virtually zero bezel above the display, alternates had to be worked out for basic features like selfie camera, earpiece and proximity sensor which are also important to the most basic and mandatory phone feature, that is calling.
The 5MP selfie camera is mounted below the display. The proximity sensor has been replaced by ultrasound and the earpiece with a piezo electric crystal that generates sound with the help of metal frame.
Other features include 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5MP front camera, 4G VoLTE , WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4/5 GHz) MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC, and 4300mAh battery.
