China’s Amperex Technology Ltd. (ATL) is on track to become the main supplier for the Galaxy Note 7’s battery. This will replace Samsung’s own SDI subsidiary from providing the batteries, after the recent battery debacle. Before this move, ATL supplied batteries for upto 30% Note 7’s, with main concentration in China, while the other 70% was handled by Samsung SDI.
