Samsung is planning to launch the successor to the Gear S2, the Gear S3 Smartwatch on August 31 at the IFA Electronics Show in Germany. The announcement comes before Apple gets a chance to announce its own new smartwatch or a refresh. The event will be live-streamed, so viewers around the world can jump in.
