WiFi Assistant is a way for Google to keep Project Fi users connected to as many WiFi hotspots as possible, while also securing their connection with a VPN. The feature has been exclusive to Project Fi users since the service was launched, but now Google says they’re bringing it to Nexus users in United States, Canada, Mexico, UK and Nordic countries in the coming weeks.
