DisplayMate is known for praising Samsung’s displays year after year. The website just published their assessment of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and yet again, they say it’s the best smartphone display on the market. A particular data point that sticks out is that the Note 7 can reach 1,048 nits of brightness (for comparison, the Galaxy S7 was able to reach 855 nits), but only on auto-brightness.
