With more and more smartphones launching with OLED panels, it’s being reported that the technology has finally overtaken LCD. Samsung Display is said to have supplied 98.38 million OLED panels for smartphones just last quarter. Samsung’s early investments in the technology have proven to be a great move as the company now accounts for 99% of the global smartphone OLED market.
