Last week, Samsung announced a new type of memory card that increases removable storage performance by up to 5x when compared to microSD cards. The cards will use the company’s UFS 1.0 storage technology, but they won’t work in standard microSD card slots. However, Samsung recently confirmed they will be manufacturing card slots that will accept both microSD cards as well as UFS cards.
