Snapchat Launches Advertising API “Partners” to “Expand Advertising Dramatically on the Platform”

Snapchat has launched its “Partners” Advertising API, with the intention of dramatically expanding advertising on the platform in the long run. For now, skippable ads will start appearing as transitions between friends stories. The ads will be fully-featured, allowing for additional actions like redirecting to websites within Snapchat or to longer videos upon a swipe on the ad.
