A report out of Korea cites “industry sources” and claims that LG is working on their own wireless charging technology. The technology would be using magnetic resonance-based wireless charging, is said to support a distance of up to 7 cm, and charge at 7W. The sources believe LG will be using this in their upcoming mobile payment Smart Card, but it could go in smartphones too.
