While we learned a lot about VR software and Daydream at Google I/O, we didn’t see presenters talk much about headset specifics other than alluding to a set of standards. Clay Bavor, head of Google’s VR division, confirmed that Google is building its own headset and controller. While we don’t know details about what it’ll look like, we can expect it to be designed around Daydream in order to maximize the experience.
