Google and Honeywell Agree to a Patent License Deal

Honewell filed a lawsuit against Nest back in 2012 and claimed the company was violating their patents. This became Google’s problem in 2014 when the company acquired Nest Labs and two have been trying to resolve this dispute ever since. This week the two companies have agreed to a long-term patent cross-license agreement that they both feel will promotes product innovation and consumer choice in the market.
