Energous made headlines back at CES in 2015 with their demo of charging mobile products from all the way across the room. The technology converts radio waves into battery life as long as you have a transmitter. As part of Phase One for the company, they’ve just received FCC approval for their small transmitter that can be used to wirelessly charge “small devices,” like wearables.
