The Korea Times is reporting that Xiaomi will be announcing their own APU (mobile application processor) at a company event scheduled for May. This APU is currently being called Rifle, and Xiaomi is said to be manufacturing it using a standard core license from ARM. Some speculate that it will be used in the upcoming Mi Max, which is scheduled to be announced on May 10th.
