It was less than 2 weeks ago when WhatsApp completed its rollout of end-to-end encryption and now Viber is jumping on board to stay competitive. Users will see a padlock as a confirmation that their chats are encrypted, but there’s no information about what type of encryption they implemented. The update also brings a way for users to hide certain chats from their chat list.
