In a statement to Android Central, Qualcomm has tried to address the concerns overs its proprietary Quick Charge 3.0 charging standard and its compatibility with the USB Type-C. Qualcomm says that QC 3.0 is designed to be connector-independent, and that the voltage can be configured to fit within the specifications of the USB Type-C standard by the OEM.
