There have been a lot of headlines made in the Android community thanks to faulty USB Type-C cables. If a company doesn’t follow the proper specification then charging your device could result in damaged hardware. Thankfully though, a USB Type-C Authentication specification has just been announced that will confirm the authenticity of a USB device or USB charger to keep our devices safe.
