Intel’s Lead Mobile Chip Executive Leaves the Company

Intel Aicha Evans

It’s no secret that Intel has had difficulty getting into the mobile market. By the end of 2015, Intel’s SoC only made up 1% of the processors being used in smartphones. Aicha Evans has been with Intel for 10 years, and was recently promoted to the head of the company’s mobile division, but is now leaving. It’s unclear if Aicha Evans stepped down due to the company’s performance or for personal reasons.
