India to Require Smartphones have a Panic Button by 2017

The Communications minister of India believes that technology can improve security in the county and they’ll be requiring that smartphone manufacturers do their part. By 2017, the country will require that all smartphones be equipped with a panic button. By 2018, all smartphones in the country will be required to offer satellite-based location hardware.
