Google Play Store Overall App Installs are Twice that of iOS App Store but Overall Revenue is nearly Half

According to the first quarterly report of 2016 by mobile application market analyst App Annie, the Google Play Store saw nearly twice as many app downloads as the iOS App Store. However, the large revenue gap seen in previous quarters still persists: the iOS App Store saw nearly a 90% lead in app revenue compared to the Google Play Store.
