Spotify has clarified a recent report that was circulating that mentioned that Windows Phone 8.1 will no longer be supported by the streaming service. The clarification now informs that this was erroneously stated. Infact, the Spotify app on Windows Phone 8.1 is being updated to v5.2 to improve support for Windows Phone.
