As part of the GPL, OEMs are required to release the open source code for the kernels they use in actively supported devices. With the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge being released today, the company is starting to work on releasing the kernel source code. Today they have released the kernel source code for the Exynos variant of the Galaxy S7 Edge.
