While Samsung is looking at this as an investment in the future, it’s still interesting to learn that Samsung Pay cost them $16.8 million last year. They don’t bring any money in from transactions and with budgets for marketing and expansion, this lost revenue easily adds up. Analysts say learning about their customers’ spending habits will be very beneficial to Samsung in the long run.
