Researchers Use Printed Fingerprints to Unlock Fingerprint-Locked Smartphones

Researchers have devised a way to use fingerprints printed from Inkjet printers to unlock smartphones. The method has been tried on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Huawei Honor 7. The fingerprints were lifted from the smartphone itself, thereby questioning the “security” model of using fingerprints for complete security of devices.
