Google has just announced that Project Fi no longer requires an invite in order to use the service. You will still need a supported smartphone in order to take advantage of the full service, but you no longer have to wait to join. There’s also a promotion for the next month that discounts the Nexus 5X to $199 if you buy & activate it through Project Fi.
