We usually only hear about Android security patches from Google once per month but this case calls for special attention. There’s been a vulnerability discovered in the Linux kernel that was fixed back in April of 2014 but wasn’t called out as a security fix and assigned. Google has patched this vulnerability in the AOSP repository for kernel versions 3.4, 3.10 and 3.14.
