Google is pulling out all the stops on Android N this year, and one feature that should surely prove to be useful is the new Data Saver mode. When you enable Data Saver mode in settings, the system blocks background data usage and signals apps to use less data in the foreground wherever possible. Users can whitelist specific apps to allow background metered data usage even when Data Saver is turned on.
