Amazon has filed a patent application for a process that allows the shopper to make purchases by uploading a photo or video of themselves instead of typing in your password. Under this scenario, the phone/computer prompts the user to perform certain actions or motions such as smiling or blinking to authenticate themselves instead of typing in a password.
