A Sony customer recently asked if the Xperia M4 Aqua would be updated to Android 5.1 because the device has yet to receive this update. A Sony representative responded via Twitter and confirmed it would not receive this update. Thankfully though, they also confirmed that it would be updated directly to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. There are no ETAs for this update at this time though.
